Arriving and activating in Cameroon
Install the eSIM before departure over wifi at home. Most international flights land at Douala International Airport, Cameroon's main gateway and the home base of national carrier Camair-Co; travellers heading to the capital can also arrive via Yaoundé's own international airport. Only turn on data roaming once you've arrived.

Around Douala and Yaoundé, coverage from the major networks is generally strongest. Further from these two centres it can thin out, as with any local provider. Commercial 5G isn't available yet in Cameroon — MTN has applied for a test licence, but expect 4G for now.
